If your site makes money or you don't want to deal with updates, security, and backups yourself yes. If it's a hobby blog getting 100 visits/month, shared hosting at $2.50/mo is fine.
For WooCommerce stores and high-traffic sites, absolutely. For a personal blog, probably not. The performance difference is real but only matters when speed impacts revenue.
Yes. WordPress runs on any PHP host. InterServer at $2.50/mo handles WordPress fine for most sites. "Managed WordPress hosting" is a premium tier, not a requirement.
Good host, but starts at $30/mo and we think Kinsta offers better value at $35/mo with Google Cloud infrastructure. WP Engine uses its own stack. Both are solid Kinsta just tested faster for us.
